Aurion Infrastructure Inc. (“Aurion Infrastructure”) specializes in private markets Infrastructure investments.  Aurion Infrastructure’s primary focus is on mid-market North American Infrastructure assets – those which provide essential goods and services; and generate long-term, stable cash flows.  Owned by Aurion Capital Management Inc. (which in turn is 60% owned by DundeeWealth Inc.) and Aurion Infrastructure’s Management Team, Aurion Infrastructure draws on a host of resources in servicing its clients. 

Infrastructure is a distinct alternative asset class that complements real estate and traditional private equity investments.  Aurion Infrastructure believes that the underlying trends in infrastructure and infrastructure related sectors provide a favourable environment for generating attractive risk adjusted returns from well-structured private investments.

Accordingly, Aurion Infrastructure is in the process of securing funding for its first Infrastructure Fund, ‘The Aurion Infrastructure Fund I, LP’ (the “Fund”).  Aurion Infrastructure is seeking a total aggregate capital Fund commitment of up to US $250 million from Canadian and US investors.  Once established, the Fund will make equity investments in a broad range of North American opportunities (existing and emerging), including those in the: (i) clean power (generation, transmission and distribution), (ii) renewable energy (hydro, wind, geothermal, solar, biofuels and biomass), (iii) transportation and transportation-related (toll road, bridges, tunnels, ports and airports), and (iv) water treatment (potable and waste) infrastructure sectors. 

In the coming years, the Fund and its investors are expected to capitalize on an increasing number of North American assets available for investment, divestment and restructuring.
